 The 2010 IADR meeting, (International Association for Dental Research) will take place in Barcelona, Spain, at the Centre Convencions Internacional. More than 3,500 scientific abstracts will be presented and 4,000 delegates are expected to attend.

As a result of the record number of submissions, an additional poster session has been added to the schedule to accommodate the additional abstracts. The meeting will now end at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 17 (and not 3 p.m.). If you are making travel plans now, please don’t plan to depart anytime earlier than 4:30 p.m. (later if departing on a flight). The abstracts notification notices are scheduled to be sent on April 16, to include the presentation dates and times. Mas informacion

El Consell General promou una campanya per a la prevenció i el diagnòstic precoç del càncer oral. La campanya es desenvoluparà conjuntament amb la SECOM, SEMO, SECIB, CAMFIC i SCBCMO.. Té per finalitat informar i conscienciar la societat espanyola sobre la repercussió d’aquesta patologia i, a més, formar mitjançant cursos-taller els odontostomatòlegs, tant de l’àmbit públic com privat. L’objectiu d’aquests cursos serà millorar els coneixements i habilitats diagnòstiques dels professionals, amb la finalitat que aquests siguin capaços d’influir en la població i exercir un paper decisiu en la primera línia de prevenció i diagnòstic precoç del càncer oral
